Hello, let me introduce myself. My name is Chris. I live in Alaska with my husband, dog, and cat. I love to craft, all kinds of crafts. I have way too many crafty hobbies. I sew clothing, quilts, toys, and well just about anything that can be created with fabric and thread. I embroider (not on a machine…the old fashion by hand way). I felt, both wet and needle felt. I scrapbook and do various paper art like card making. I make jewelry (although I haven’t done as much of this lately). My latest new craft is woodworking. Occasionally I do a bit of painting and drawing.
I love the creative process. Thinking up a new design (or finding a great pattern), figuring out what materials to use, finding just the right colors, making it, and ending up with something made with your own hands. It’s very rewarding for me.
I also love reading about other people’s creations. Seeing picture of what they’ve made. It’s fun to see the creative process at work for others and I’ll often be inspired to try my own version of something I see online. So I thought I’d join the online craft community with this blog and share some of my own creations.
